Here's to 2016

It's been a long year; longer than I really thought until I put together my Art Summary. But hey, it's a fresh start, and I got a couple things lined up for 2016.


For starters; Revenant is going through some rather big changes. After finishing the original five issues, I was burnt out; physically and emotionally. Looking back, my style had changed quite a lot from issue to issue, but I felt like I wasn't in the right place at the time to do sequential storytelling. That's not to say that I am now, because I'm still not sure, but I think I am closer to realizing what I want to do with my original content.

So what's the point of all this? Well, I'm doing a 'rebranding' as it were for Revenant as a whole. A new series, with a new plot and new setting. That series is called 'Oni Rumble!,' and will feature the same characters from Revenant; with the focus on Zytha and Josh and their relationship with one another. The main difference is the setting, which now takes place in a more fantastical world; a blend of sic-fi and fantasy, with more of an approach to adventure and romance. I can't say when I'll be ready with an issue of Oni Rumble!, but I hope to have something of substance early this year.


Second, I've been doing a lot more writing for Tales of Thirodas, and been drawing up some of the main characters for that story on Tumblr. I plan to clean up some of those images and post them here, if there's ever a time I'm having an artist's block (which will happen I'm sure).

Finally on a more personal note, I've gone and joined a gym; something I never in my life would have thought of doing some odd years ago. I figured now that I'm in my mid 20's, I should get my life together physically before it becomes too hard or straining. Perhaps with the extra energy and motivation I'll be able to put out drawings more frequently.
